I've been thinking about starting a grocer delivery business but don't have a clue how to start. Can you help?

  1. Do market research! Pray that there is someone else is doing this - so you can undercut their price/fees or provide better service. List the ways you are going to promote your business. Think of other errands you can do along with a grocery delivery business. Good Luck!
  2. SURE thing i do this today I have a car though so it's easier just to hang out at local supermarket get people drive em home charge flat rate depending on distance and usualy made $50 a day Grocery delivery well YOU need to get your name out somehow make up flyers knock on peoples doors hand them your flyer explain what your doing and charge a MIN FEE of at least $2 per person to go to store pick up thier order pay for it then collect when you get to their house or the store owner already has an account with them so you just pick up thier order ! And YOU need a ton of staedy customers to make good money to do this at laest 50 of them hoping to get 10 per day ! Again charge that min FEE do not rely on tips most people tip poorly or not at all
  3. All the advice in the world will not help. Just do it. Advertise in the local paper. deliver flyers in nieghborhoods.Go to the nieghborhoods where there are a large retired population.Insure your mode of delivery is economical.Perhaps a motor cycle with a side car.I would start with flyers tomorrow.Your not going to make a lot of money right off.But once your client list increases. you my not have enough time for yourself. To many people over think things. I started a mister fixit bussiness many years ago. I repair, paint, minor plumbing, mowing lawns, misc.I started with flyers. From word of mouth.I had landlords that used me to do repair apartments.and shampoo carpets.I had more work than I could do. sold my clients list. And got out of the bussiness. He is still doing well.Just go out and do it.
