What kind of employment opportunities are there for someone who has a degree in Archeology?
I know that teaching is one and perhaps some government research careers. But what else is there?

- Hey, In-order to obtain a career in the field of archeology, you really must have an advanced degree (MA) and in many places a terminal degree (PhD). As you stated, becoming a professor is what many people think of, but these people also conduct much research outside of their respected universities. Many of them conduct the said research in the other area you mentioned, government. The Federal government has certain agencies which utilize Archeologists such as US Forest Service, Customs and Border Patrol, National Park Service etc. Usajobs.com is a good site in locating positions. Outside of those work-fields, it becomes somewhat difficult to find placement. Private organizations conduct Archeological research in certain countries, but they must submit all their findings to the given country.
