How can you tell if your package is being shipped by usps or ups?

I ordered a product on paypal and received a confirmation number, but there is no information on the site(not paypal) I ordered the products from about whether the shipping is by usps or ups. I know usps sometimes takes longer than ups, so I really wanted to know which one it was.

1. If the seller didn't volunteer that information when you placed your order, or provide a tracking number, then the only way you'll know how they shipped it is to ask them directly. There must be a "contact us" or "help" button somewhere on their site.
2. If the conf # starts with `1Z', look on the UPS tracking site.
