Where are the major postal centers located in the US that deal with the entire country's international mail?

I am aware that you can ship something to another country via your local post office. However, the postal system works like this: I go to my local post office and mail an international letter. My local post office ships that international letter to one of several massive postal centers that then ship the country's international mail to other countries. Where are these major international postal centers located in the US?

1. That would be FEDEX.
2. Logically...more than likely they will be near an International Air port.
3. Pretty much the main Post Office in every major city with an international airport.
