What are possible employment opportunities for wildlife photographer in India?

One of my friends is a pretty good photographer, he took some pretty awesome photos when he was in Kanha national park. he wants to be a wildlife photographer. so can you help? Also can you tell rough salary which a wildlife photographer gets.

1. Most photographers like that are freelance. There's not much of a demand anymore. It will take years of building a portfolio and contacts. As for pay, look to be pooor for many, many years, but if you can sell pictures to a national publication, you can make a pretty good living. I don't believe many magazines have staff photogs anymore, so it's a life of living paycheck to paycheck having to constantly sell yourself.
2. Opportunities are quite bleak. The way the things stand , there should not be any wildlife left in a couple of years to photograph.
