Postal Letter

Will the mailman send your package if you just leave it in your mailbox?

My friend was gonna send me a package, but instead of visiting the post office to send the package, she put it in the slot when you send letters out in the apartment. Like, that box thingy where you put your mail in, and the mailman comes to pick up the mail. And I'm wondering will this work? Because she just left it in there, & hasn't payed for shipping?

  1. If there is no postage, it will be taken to the post office, marked "insufficient postage", then be returned to the sender
  2. No he will not do her work for her. She has to actually walk to the nearest Post Office and get it weighed and pay for the stamps. The package will still be in the box.
  3. no postage, no go.. postage yeah the mailman must take it... it is his sworn duty
