How do I track an envelope that I sent by leaving it in my mailbox for the mailman to deliver?
Ok, so about 2 weeks ago I mailed an envelope to my boyfriend who lives 3,000 miles away. He hasn't gotten it yet, but I received the package he sent me in just a few days. I was wondering how I could track my envelope, because I didn't actually mail it at the post office. I just left it in my mailbox for the mailman to pick up. Can I track it still???

- I don't think so, you may just have to wait for it to show up somewhere. I once mailed a check to an employee 20 miles away and it ended up in New York, (we are in Iowa), needless to say, it took a few weeks before he got it.
- You can't. Even if you had mailed it at the post office you couldn't unless you used one of the forms that allow tracking.
