USPS Change of Address Question?
I am going to move this week and I need to change my address with the post office, but I was wondering if I need to go to my old post office or my new post office to file the form? I would appreciate your help. Thanks!

- you should go to your old post office and do that .. i had to
- It doesn't matter which -- and I think you can do it online, anyway. You barely need to leave your house anymore! But it's also important to change your address for any on-going mail you get, like magazines and newspapers, directly with the companies affected, and as soon as you can. Here's the link for changing your address with the Post Office. If it doesn't work, go to http://www.usps.com, then look for "Forms."
- Here's the trick: the USPS wants you to go on line (usps.com) and spend $1 to file it that way, as they claim it's "more efficient". If you go to your local office, it works best to go to the one for the former address. You will have to ASK for the Change of Address card from either the window clerk or in the receptionist's office, as it is no longer displayed (again, compelling you to go to the site and spend the $1)
