Do postal workers work on long weekends ?

Im expecting a package that is supposed to be here by Monday but this week is a long weekend, is there still post on Mondays during long weekends or will I have to wait until tuesday? (im using Canada Post)

1. i dont know if its the same in canada. but in australia - no they dont.
2. Post offices will be closed on Monday, there will be no mail delivery service on Monday. Postal outlets, such as those in drug stores, etc, may be open since they are not staffed by Canada Post employees.
