what time does the mailman collect the letters to start delivering in London?

I sent a letter this after noon at around 1:45pm at the post office in east London. My letter was to a university in central London and it was sent by recorded delivery. I was wondering, what time does the mailman comes and collect the letters? and what time does the reciever get the letters? oh, fuck you ali g, stupid prick.

1. The box you put the letter in had the time of collection Delivery time depends on where in a city of 7 million people you sent it to, there is only one postman so if the recipient is number 6,999.999 then it could be after lunch!
