What is the difference between FedEx Freight and FedEx Ground?
I was looking into applying for a job with FedEx. I found one for FedEx Ground but its a 40 minute commute vs one I found for FedEx Freight, which is a 20 minute commute. I applied for FedEx Freight since its closer, but I'm wondering what the difference is between the two, jobwise AND shipping wise. I'm just curious as to if I'll be lifting heavy boxes or small boxes etc. Any help would be appreciated. Preferably someone who works for FedEx. Thanks =]

- When something is shipped ground it is a package that is able to be delivered on a small truck and carried by the driver. When something is shipped freight it is delivered on a semi using a fork lift. You will still be required to lift the same amount of weight...when a shipment is sent "freight" it's usually lots of small boxes on a skid.
- FedEx Ground is the service most regular customers use to ship things like Christmas gifts or if they buy something off ebay or any online retailer -- FedEx's put the package on a truck generally (you'll see the really big trucks on the freeways late) to the next distribution point. FedEx Freight applies more to very large shipments of things -- a container of boxes full of electronic goods, for example, not your ordinary consumer packages. By container I mean one of those really big steel containers trains can carry and then offload at another port.
