Postal Letter

Will UPS deliver a package to the U.S. Post Office?

If a company only sends its packages via UPS, will they deliver that package to a P.O. Box at the U.S. Postal Service? Or, do they require a street address?

  1. UPS will deliver to a PO Box...ive had UPS deliver to the post office @ my po box, which i had to sign for to get it when i got there.
  2. It's my shipping department's understanding that UPS will not deliver to a USPS Post Office Box. They will deliver to a box in a UPS store or a 'privatized postal store' but not a United States Post Office ("P. O.") box. The term "Shipping Address", usually refers to a physical address, whereas a billing address or mailing address refers to a place a United States Postal "letter carrier" can deliver. T
  3. No. Some shippers will not accept a PO box for an address. I had one package 'sent' to my PO Box and instead of the package I got a notice from UPS to come pick up my package. However, in a lot of cases the Postal Service is now delivering what is called the last mile for the FedEx and for UPS. In these case they drop off pallets of boxes onto the back dock of a post office and the mail is delivered by the Postal Service. So, if the shipper accepts a PO Box as a delivery address that is what they may be doing.
