What happens if I put a UPS package in a post office mailbox?

I accidentally dropped a package with a UPS label into a U.S. Postal service box. The label has my return address on it. Will it come back to me?

1. It will come back to you...eventually...just don't hold your breath. Although, come to think of it...it's always possible the folks at the USPS won't notice the lack of stamp on it and deliver the dang thing to you anyways... How big IS this package anyways? Will it fit into your mailbox? I'm real curious too, how did you manage to accidentally stick it in the USPS box anyway?
