Postal Letter

I've lost my package throught the U.S. Postal service?

Coming home from overseas at the last minute... I had my friend shipped my package from a military base and still haven't recieved them. He contacted the post office and said a "tracer" was sent out for the items but with no results . Does anyone have any suggestions for retrieving lost items shipped through the post office?I don't want monetary compensation..I just want my collections of music cd's (10 years worth)

1. yes this has happened to me . it will arrive. it came about 1 month through the post after i had returned home.
2. When shipped from a military base it can take awhile. I sent a package to my husband when he was in Iraq and it took nearly 2 months. Now that I live in Okinawa, Japan I experience the same thing with packages sent to me. If the person sent parcel post it will be a low priority and could be sitting on a dock or on a ship. You will eventually get it just have to be patient. Shipping to or from APO/FPO address - Priority mail is the best way!
