Postal Letter

What has the U.S. Postal Service done?!?

This USPS sent my first envelope to the wrong address and know they seem to have screwed up my second attempt as well. My status for this package on track and confirm is NOTICE LEFT: We attempted to deliver your item at 11:15 AM on March 21, 2009 in DALLAS, TX 75243 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. I was told by customer service that it was actually delivered to the post office not the recipient and should be on its way to the correct address. (The zip code it is shown as being delivered to is not the one of the recipient whom I'm trying to get the envelope to)First of all I used priority mail for both envelopes and for this one I even put the 4 digit zip code! What is wrong here? I was assured by cutomer service that the envelope would eventually be delivered to the correct address and that both packages were actually delivered to the post office not the recipient. First can someone explain exactly what happened to the envelope to me with all the notice left stuff??? And if something is shown as being Delivered on track and confirm doesn't that mean it was delivered to the recipient? If it were actually at the post office like the rep said wouldn't the status be arrival at unit rather than delivered?? Someone please explain to me what happened here???
