- it's very difficult to get a good job in oregon. it's competitive, and there are not many jobs available in the first place. i would get online and look in the eugene classifieds, and i'd also try the University of Oregon website, and the Lane Community College site. these are colleges, and they may have more clerical type work than other places. they will also provide you links to the oregon employment agencies.
- I am afraid I will have to agree with Weechi on this one. It can take a while to find a decent paying job in Oregon. I am specifically familiar with the Eugene area. If you have an excellent resume with good experience and references, and are familiar with standard office practices, then your chances of finding a good job with decent pay are higher. Check all the online job places, specific to Oregon, and include the government and city sites, to get an idea of what is available. If you are diligent, well qualified, and work hard at finding a job, you will probably find one in less than three months.
- hard to find, I suggest hitting a temp service. They'll find you a job that's temp to hire and it's quicker if you need a job asap.
- Lovetotalk's got the right answer. There are good employment opportunities in Eugene for the types of work you listed. Most employers struggle to find good employees because: 1. Most applicants can't pass the urine test. 2. Most applicants have unprofessional behavior. 3. A combination of 1 and 2. Eugene's school systems alone require a large number of office and clerical workers. Go to the Eugene's Register Guard's classifieds: http://www.registerguard.com:8080/classifieds/
