How does the Daily Mail attract its readers?

Please can you help me with ways they attract there readers. Eg. Promotions, celebrity endorsements etc. Basically any ideas which you can think of. Thank you so much if you can.

2. Well I ordered a Tesco food home delivery two days ago and when it arrived the delivery driver told me it came with a free copy of the Daily Mail, and sure enough it was there. Obviously trying to influence the voting public and get them to read the Mail, and be influenced by their views, when they would never normally buy it.
