Does USPS deliver again after you already get your regular mail from the mailman?

I'm tracking something from USPS and it's about 1 hour away since an hour ago, saying it's on its way to the destination. I already got my regular mail from the mailman which is the only time I notice getting packages. Do they deliver again separately? Such as, could I get this package today from USPS even though the mailman already brought my mail just before noon?

1. Yes, that is indeed possible. USPS isn't exactly the best at parcels - but I have received my regular mail and then later some USPS guy came with my parcel. Don't get me wrong though - USPS is GREAT at delivering regular mail, so I'm not 'dissing' those hard-working men and women by any means.
