Does the USPS hire prior military that received a general discharge?

I received a general discharge from the Air Force a while back and I'm interested in obtaining a job w/ the USPS. Now I was wondering how their policy is with prior service as to what type of discharges they don't accept and if they would even consider me. thanks a bunch!

  1. yes
  2. They give preference to Vets, and extra pref points to disabled Vets.
  3. Yes and also, you can always contact the Discharge Review Board (DRB) if you think you should have been Honorably Discharged instead. Sometimes the Military will allow you to upgrade your discharge.
  4. A General Discharge under what conditions? Honorable or Other Than Honorable?
