Postal Letter

How do I make sure my mail in voters ballot gets to me after moving?

I recently became a permanent mail voter but moved shortly after becoming one. I didn't know who to contact regarding my change of address. I changed my address with the DMV and had my mail forwarded through the postal service but never got my mail in ballot. What did I do wrong? Anyone know?

  1. That's a way the dems can steal your vote.
  2. You can't vote the same ballot unless you remain in the same district. You have to put in a change with your local gov. (You know, pretty much all the states now have voter registration on line.)
  3. "a permanent mail voter" Absentee ballot perhaps? You need to register. http://www.fvap.gov/ The Director, Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), administers the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) on behalf of the Secretary of Defense. The UOCAVA requires that the states and territories allow certain U.S. citizens, as defined below, to register and vote absentee in elections for Federal office. These groups include: * Members of the Uniformed Services (including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine * Eligible family members of the above * Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service, and Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration * U.S. citizens employed by the Federal Government residing outside the U.S., and * All other private U.S. citizens residing outside the U.S. The FVAP provides U.S. citizens worldwide a broad range of non-partisan information and assistance to facilitate their participation in the democratic process - regardless of where they work or live.
