Postal Letter

Mailman gives me neighbors mail?

I'm getting the neighbors junk mail. Stuff like coupons, ads, etc. I live in an apartment and #2 and #4 are empty so I guess the lazy mailman just shoves the leftovers in MY box. They are clearly labled for those unit numbers. Is this legal? What can I do about it? I dont want someone elses junk. ( I am on a do not mail list so I should not be getting any junk. That is why Im concerned)

  1. Complain to the post office or just throw it out, it's just junk mail. If it's something other than that, return to sender.
  2. It is against the law. Shove that junk into the mailman's face lol or you can just tell him to cut it out.
  3. Contact the mail man"s supervisor and let it go from there
  4. Just a guy doing his job pretty bad. If its that big of a deal complain to your local post office.
  5. Contact the Postmaster for your zip code and explain what is going on to him or her. Keep what the letter carrier is putting in your mailbox to give to the Postmaster, you will need proof. If it's first class do not keep it forward it on, just hold the junk mail. Believe it or not this sort of thing is common. Company I used to work for would get tubs of mail that wasn't ours. Come to find out one of the letter carriers didn't want to deliver them and would be off work for the next few days would send all the junk mail from his route to our company thus delaying it from coming back to the Post Office till his days off.
