what to give as a gift to our mailman?

I know there are rules and regulations (at least in N.Y.S.) about what you can and can't give your mail-person. I know monetary gifts are not allowed but I am unclear as to what is OK. Anyone know of an official website, or something that lists what is and is not OK?

  1. I've never heard about laws about not giving monetary gifts - that's interesting to me I would think a gift certificate to a movie, target type store, book store, restaurant would be a nice gesture
  2. Buy him condoms and act flirty.
  3. i like to bake my mail man cookies around the holidays, and he seems to appreciate it :) http://www.ehow.com/how_4556752_choose-christmas-gifts-mailman.html
  4. anything is fine.seriously..but something that he can use while working would be cool.like awesome sunglasses?
  5. A chain for your dog.. He's sick of getting chased.. he told me.
  6. When I was a kid(I'm now 32) everyone used to leave an envelope with a little cash but I'm sure this terrible practice has been outlawed by now.
  7. A gift card would be perfect, he can get anything he wants.
