What Do I Do About Picking Up a Postal Package with No Peach Notice?

I was awaiting a package, a small one that i know was to be sent in a padded envelope. i ordered from the sender before and it arrived in the mailbox no problems. This time, with a lesser degree of delivery (First Class with Confirmation), instead of putting it in the mailbox it was sent separately with a driver and they said a notice was left nearly 7 hours ago. The problem is, there is no notice here for me to claim the package. All I have is the online record of its' journey from Tennessee to NYC. Can I claim my package from the US Postal Service without the notice? I don't even have the notice number to make a redelivery request at their website. Also, there are two post offices the same number of blocks away from me. How can I determine which one has it so I can go? Sigh.

  1. You don't need the notice. They'll fill out a new one when you get there for you to sign. You will need your driver's license to prove who you are, though. And, if the driver's license has a different address on it that the one on the package, you'll need something else that has your name and that address on it - utility bill or something. Each post office has a unique zip code. Your package will be delivered from the one that is the same as your zip. Their zip is on the outside of the building.
