What is a good basic rating for USPS job applications?

I took 473 for the first time today and my basic rating is 81.70. Is that good or bad? Will I be likely to get a job with that rating?

  1. "A list of locations offering the Postal Exam in coming weeks can be found ... Applicants with a test score of 95 or above have a good chance of being hired" You have to score 70 or higher to be considered.
  2. Usually unless you score 90 or higher, your chances of getting hired are very slim. Disabled veterans get "bonus" points added to their scores, depending on their disability. When I got hired nearly 23 years ago, I scored in the low 90s.
