Postal Letter

USPS (uS POSTAL SERVICE) questions?

About a week ago, I ordered a book from walmart.com. it was shipped (they said) with USPS. Now, one week later, it still isn't here even thought they said it would arrive between Monday and Wednesday of this week. When I use the USPS website tracking function I get this message: Service(s): Delivery Confirmation™ Status: Arrived Shipping Partner Facility Your item arrived at a shipping partner facility at 4:01 AM on April 12, 2010 in HEBRON, KY 41048. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later. What does this mean? Will it arrive soon? 10 pts thanks

  1. Yes! This parcel was most likely originally shipped through UPS or FEDEX. They sort the package, transport it across country. When it gets to the area of delivery, they drop it off at the post office. Then the post office sorts it and delivers it. Those companies hand off a lot of residential packages for a small fee. It costs those companies too much to drive around residential neighborhoods to deliver packages. They make more money with businesses and high volume customers. You should get it soon.
