Sending a letter to Canada...?

If I'm sending a regular letter to Canada, are two forever stamps enough? Is it okay if I drop it in the blue usps boxes near my house? Yes, I'm sending it from the US.

1. Are you sending it from the States? I'm assuming you are because of your reference to blue mail boxes (ours are bright red). You should check with USPS for their rates to Canada - you might actually be paying too much with two forever stamps. You should be good to go with just dropping them into the USPS mail box.
