US postal mail service?

If i send off for something and it arrives at my local post office at 6:33 this morning and I dont get it in my mailbox at my house, where is it put? (I know the 6:33 via tracking number)

1. it's sorted and put on a truck for delivery
2. It should have gone out for delivery that day, most carriers haven't left the office at that point, if they're even there. I'd complain about it if it wasn't delivered that day, or you could go and pick it up as well.
3. They would leave you a ticket stating that they have a package for you and that it needs to be picked up at the post office.
4. in a bin until, they get around to it, they need to rate the workers and get rid of the bad ones, they could cut costs by keeping only the workers ,who out in a days work for a days pay, this applies to management too, get rid of the slackers
