Postal Letter

do mailman deliver mail for 8 hours or do they also do work at the postal office?

are mailman walking/driving for 8 hours delivering mail or do they deliver mail for some hours and than return to the postal office and do work their? if so what type of work do they do their?

1. When they get to the PO in the morning they are given all the mail for their route. They have to sort it and put it in the right order for delivery. Then they go deliver it. Some routes are longer than others. Weather and holidays can make for longer days.
2. No there is much too be done at the post office as well as all mail branches .there is the sorting off mail,weighing mail, daily putting mail in all the post office boxes, and even cleaning the post office daily,,, and selling stampes etc,boxes and boxes,stationary etc..... hope this helps.
