Refused package to the usps a week ago, but still no update on usps tracking?

My other refused package that was returned two days previous to that was updated. Did usps already lose the package, forget to update the tracking, or is usps just being really slow this time? Should I call them?

1. Was it Parcel Post or Priority? need more info to answer your question.
2. There's already a problem if the package was refused a week ago and there wasn't a second attempt to deliver the next day! They have probably returned the package to the sender by now. You should have called them that day or the next about scheduling a delivery.
