How do I know if the mailman is stealing my mail?

I ordered a few different things & they should have been here at least a couple weeks ago..how would I know if the mailman has been taking things? /= It's just weird because I've never had a problem in the 20 years I've been living here, until we got a new mailman, now I rarely get what I order.
