The United States Postal Service (USPS) Forever Stamp is currently worth .44¢, which is the cost to mail something that weighs up to and including 1 ounce within the United States. $1.40 / .44¢ = 3.1818181, so if you have only Forever Stamps you will need to use four (4) of them, but you will be in including .36¢ more than you need. If you have other stamps than just just the .44¢ Forever Stamp, you could use three (3) Forever Stamps, 3 x .44¢ = $1.32; and then make up the difference with .08¢ more postage.
