Shipping video game question?

I was wondering If I could ship a video game in a padded envelope with a forever stamp on it, and drop it off in a nearby usps mailbox, or is there more to that?

1. ya thats fine! i do it all the time. but i usually put about $1 worth of stamps, maybe at least 2 stamps?
2. You have to weigh the padded envelope with the game in it or it will be returned to you for insufficient postage. First class postage is sold by weight.
