USPS US Postal Service Delivery Question. Tracking said delivered but has not arrived !?

I check my package tracking online today and it said it was delivered at 11:52 am. I came home and nothing was in my mail box except for mail. Now the reason the box could not have been stolen by a neighbor because when I have a package it goes to a big general mail box and the mail delivery person would leave the key inside my mail box for me to get the package.My question is: Is it possible for the web site to say it was delivered and then they will deliver it later ? Today is Thursday and they said it was delivered yesterday. What should i do? 1. You need to call the post office that delivers your mail and discuss this with the supervisor for the carrier that delivers to where you live. The supervisor should question the carrier about what happened. There should have either been a key left, a package in the parcel locker, and the package scanned 'delivered', or a paper notice left, and the package returned to the post office, scanned 'attempted'. The supervisor should then get back to you with a response. If there isn't a satisfactory answer to what happened to your package, take it higher, to the Postmaster's Office for your area.
