why does my fedex tracking number say that its been delivered?

I ordered something off line and i copy and pasted the tracking number emailed to me and it says that the packege was delivered september 1st, 2009. I ordered the packege yesterday. What is happening?

1. I've never heard of this happening before, but you can try either of 2 things. The first is to call the buyer and make sure that they indeed sent the right tracking information to you or 2. 2. You copied the number incorrectly - when you copy and paste - not all of the number will paste correctly -
