how do i avoid the problem with 'do not accept registration from free web based emails?'?

they say that this is an attempt to minimize spam. so they do have option to send your email then they will manually add it to the forum so i can access a free tool. since i have yahoo email plus, it is not a free account, i paid for it. i thought i that there is a way to 'disguise' my email so that it does not look like and act like a free account. although they say to use a college email or employer email, what is the best way around this issue?

1. Register with another e-mail site that is payed? I would only try this once though, not to waste too much money. And I would try other free e-mails first.
2. Contact the admin of the website via email and explain the situation.
