Will FedEx leave a FedEx Ground package at my door if no one is home or do they require a signature?

I have a package on the way but it won't arrive until Thursday while my wife and I are at work. Will they leave the package on my porch or do you have to sign for it? Its being shipped via FedEx Ground.

1. It depends on how it was sent out. Probably not, but depending on the article, the sender may have required it. You should have gotten a tracking number already. Call FedEx with your tracking number and ask them specifically about your package. When in doubt, I always leave a note (I live in an area where I don't worry about such things).
