What do i need to do to gain employment as a FedEx Ground driver?

want to gain employment with FedEx Ground and want to know the steps that i need to take to gain employment? qualifications etc? i would like to know the steps i need to take to gain employment

1. A monkey could get a job there. As long as you can drive and no DUI's then you can get a job there.
2. FIRST: Go down to the local FedEx terminal and put in an application You must have a good driving record with no tickets in recent years You must not have a police record You must be able to be bonded You must be able to read & write
3. Not sure if the other two responders actually work there as their responses aren't entirely accurate. FedEx has changed its policies as of February 2010. You now MUST have at least a year of professional driving experience (in a large vehicle, like water delivery, moving trucks, etc) OR 6 months driving experience plus a driving class. Also, NOTHING on your driving record - no tickets, DUI's, nothing. Also no criminal record, and you must consent to a drug test. Their hiring process is extensive. Another thing to keep in mind: FedEx is contractor-run. So, while you must get qualified with FedEx to be a driver, you don't get hired by FedEx - you get hired by one of the individual contractors.
