My iMac is shipping through FedEx Ground?

Hello. I just got my apple order status updated tonight (Monday Aug, 2 @ 9:00pm) I live in California, and the shipping says "FedEx Ground" I have heard that most shipments from the Apple Store come from Shanghai, China. Is that the case with mine? I assume FedEx "Ground" is shipping on the ground and not flying. Am I correct?

1. Yes, you are correct. If you ordered from Apple your shipment will be sent from within the US. The day your package is loaded on the delivery truck the tracking info will update to "on truck for delivery". Apple requires a signature for everything they send out - the day your package is headed to you you may want to leave a note with a signature on it taped to your door for the driver. Let him know where you'd like it left, and he'll be able to leave it for you even if you're not able to catch the door!
