Change of address with USPS?

We you apply for a change of address with the USPS, does the postal services automatically notifiy everyone that has ever sent you mail ?

1. No. That only forwards your mail to your new address for so long.You need to let anyone you receive mail from know your correct address as soon as possible.
2. Yes and no. If the mailer has stated "Address Service Requested" on the envelope, then USPS will send them a post card with your new address. This is a premium service that cost's the mailer. Your 1st and 2nd Class mail will be forwarded to you. All standard mail (almost always junk) will not and go into recycling bins.
