USPS Casual Clerk Job description and dress code?
I've just been hired as a casual clerk for the post office and my orientation is tomorrow. I'm wondering what the dress code is and also, what kind of work should I be expecting?

- I'm sure your orientation covered most of this. The dress code is extremely casual (shorts, t-shirts, jeans). You are likely to get a little dirty. Closed-toed leather shoes are a must and jewelry, long hair, and loose drawstrings should be removed or secured so as not to get caught in equipment. there are a number of jobs you may be asked to perform as a clerk...sorting, canceling, and dispatching mail by hand or by machine. You will need to lift heavy parcels and mail pouches on occasion. You may be required to work long hours, nights, weekends, and to be called in on your non-scheduled days.
