How long does a package shipped through usps take to come in?

i ordered a package from party city on 12/12/2010. it is being shipped by the usps. the tracking info states that it was shipped out on 12/14/2010 from Illinois. i live in southern Louisiana and am wondering about how long will my package take to get here. i would like anyone with experience with this or someone from the usps to answer please and thank you!
