Will USPS track with a foreign tracking number?
I ordered an item from Korea, I have a tracking number from the Korea Post Office. When the item arrives in the US. Will USPS track using the Korean tracking number? I have had stuff shipped from overseas before and never had to sign for any of them before. That is definitely a new one on me. But that didn't answer my question. Will USPS use the Korean tracking number I was given by the Korean seller to track or not?

- Most likely. A lot of things shipped from overseas need to be signed for. The tracking number will probably be 2 letters, 3 sets of 3 numbers, then 2 more letters, for example; RR 683 595 284 CN.
- Only certain types of mail will be able to be tracked through from a foreign country to delivery in the US. Registered Mail is not one of them. That would be something that starts with an R. All you can do is try the number at usps.com. For our part, Priority mail International is trackable from the US to other countries. An equivalent service from another country would also be trackable. EMS service from other countries is usually not able to be tracked although some Express mail services will track.
