is there demand for pilots in the next 20 years?
I am seriously considering about being a pilot but i dont know if there will be demand for pilots in the next 20 years. since they already have military drones flying for the military, what is stopping the airlines like FedEx and courier companys from using this technology and saving millions of dollars. I know people will have a hard time trusting a computer to fly them accross the world but it is in the future 100% but when... i want to make the best career move and make it count.

- definately. Most of them currently are ready to retire aged pilots
- Military uses drones for life or death Situations Airlines don't. It costs more to train someone on how to fly it using a computer than it does to fly a airplane from the actual cockpit. military would rather just lose an aircraft if they can avoid losing a pilot or two pilots they will do that. Airliners don't normally have to worry about that.
- good
- What is stopping airlines like FedEx from using drones? The FAA. The aviation industry moves extremely slowly, mostly thanks to the FAA and the regulations that they put in place (that hinders innovation in this field). Trust me, human pilots will be needed for a very long time.
- there will be an average demand. not really high or low
