If you would pay $4 a gallon for gas, why wouldn't you pay $1 an oz at the U.S. Post Office?
THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT CLOSING MANY OF YOUR LOCAL OFFICES! AND DON'T EUROPEANS PAY SOME REDICULOUS PRICE HIGHER THAN US TO PAY THEIR POSTAL WORKERS?

- that does make sense, and yes euros pay higher gas prices
- because things are not priced on weight/volume...they're priced on the "value" of that item. With your logic you should then be willing to pay $1000 for a 1oz letter since you'd be willing to pay $1000 for 1oz of gold.
