how long does it take for a fedex tracking number to show up?

someone sent me something using fedex they send it saturday and the tracking number keeps saying not found in fedex system so i wanted to know do i have to wait until monday and pull it up because its the weekend i was asking because i never used the fedex system before any answers somebody

1. agree, I don't know where the shipper dropped the package off at a local FedEx Ground station? or maybe at FedEx OFFICE? .... inquire about it from the SHIPPER on monday or watch your email for the tracking number to show up
