- I work out at UPS (damn fedex jurks lol) and I see pilots walking around all the time talking on phones. And I think its easy to assume they had the phones with them while they were flying. Even if the company says 'no cell phones' I really don't see how they'd inforce it. I never see them get patted down or wanded down before they get on the aircraft. Even if they kept them in their luggage bag the bag is kept in the cockpit and all they have to do is get the thing out. Now like I said before I don't know for certain...but I'm pretty sure the cell phone rule isn't inforced very well.
- Is he an actual FedEx mainline pilot or is he a Feeder pilot? Lots of Feeder guys like to tell girls they fly FedEx mainline when in fact they never will and they lie their asses off and you end up hearing garbage like what this guy is saying. There is no law or FedEx company policy that says they can't have a camera phone. It's uninforcable and just plan retarded. Ask him where in his OpSpecs or company manual this policy is stated.
- It sounds to me like he is pegging the bovine excrement meter well past 100%
- You pretty much can't be a pilot without a cell phone and you can't buy a cell phone anymore without a camera. The iPhone is the new pilot geek accessory to go along with the big watch and aviator sunglasses.
