does the online tracking for fedex change to delivered the moment youre package has been dropped off?

like how do they know? does the driver of the truck enter it on a computer or something? or radios people at a fedex location?

2. They scan it into the system, but it does not show up immediately. It takes a while to process and then up-load the information.
3. at the beginning and end of each day portable scanners/ computers with wireless transmitters <shrugs>
