Do you recognise or know the name of this film? (Lost father, postal sorting office)?

The film is about a young woman trying to find her father. It begins with her in a job interview, she gets a job in a postal sorting office. In the office there is a box full of letters which supposedly will never reach their destination (letters to santa etc). When she finds her Father she is disappointed, he is a lowlife man who lives in a trailer. He didn't live up to her expectations. However, during the film i think she falls in love with a man (i think he was mexican). He lets go of some doves? Sorry it's brief. If you recognise it please let me know. Thank you!
