Postal Letter

For Canadian postal codes... do you put them on the same line as the city, province and country or no?

Let's say I have a package that I need to send to XXXX XXXX rd., XXXX, BC, Canada. So I would set it up like this... XXXX XXXX Rd. XXXX, BC, Canada Would the postal code be after "Canada" or on a separate line?

  1. separate line :) Mr & Mrs Smith 123 Happy St. Ottawa, ON Canada H0H 0H0
  2. It doesn't really matter, both are acceptable though I think it is preferential to put it all on one line. Don't worry it will get there either way.
  3. fun example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_postal_code#Santa_Claus Official word http://www.canadapost.ca/common/tools/pg/manual/PGaddress-e.asp#1383571
  4. anyway you want to do it is fine the post office is pretty easy going just make sure you have enough postage on the envelope
  5. If you are mailing to Canada from elsewhere, you would put "Canada" below the postal code/province line. (technically called the "country line") If you are in Canada and mailing a letter to another part of Canada, you do not need to put the country in.
  6. Treat Canadian postal codes the same as American zip codes. IT really doesn't matter what line it's on...
  7. i usually do as this persons name 123 apt 123 avenue road XXX XXX Toronto, ON Canada this is how i mail mine and i live in Toronto. if its being mailed whith in Canada there is no need to put the country just the province would do.
