how to run yahoo e-mail client with windows 7 ENTERPRISE?

Just installed Win-7 Enterprise. Now my default yahoo email no longer works.

1. The ONLY way you can get a Yahoo email to run in an outside client is to upgrade to Yahoo! Mail Plus, @ $20/year. None of the other email services that I have access to run into this problem ~ Yahoo must have seen this as a way to generate extra revenue . . . !
